Kentwood Food Truck Festival returns to kick off the summer

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kentwood Food Festival returns this year by popular demand.

“We are thrilled to welcome the community back to this popular event, which now includes more food trucks than ever before,” said Val Romeo, Kentwood Parks and Recreation Manager.

There will be 31 different food trucks that will be parked at the Kent District Library in Kentwood, located at 4950 Breton Road SE, Saturday. Kentwood Parks and Recreation hosts the summer festival which is now in its second year.

As well as being able to choose from a list of food options, there will be live music and a beer tent for people to enjoy.

Organizers say this is the best way to kick off the summer.

“We had our summer concert series. We have the 4th of July. We have so much to come that we thought we had to start with this,” said Lorie Gresnick, recreation program coordinator. “It’s a great place to come, we have great music, you can bring your chair and relax for the day.”

The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. For a list of food trucks that will be on site Click here.
